We are proud to be non-partisan and conduct our advocacy programs as activists without a Political Action Committee (PAC). Our policy, which covers many topics affecting the daily lives of rural Americans, covers Agriculture, Conservation, Education and Health, as well as Communication issues, and is established through a system of negotiation and civic debate. Our members introduce resolutions at their community Grange meetings. These resolutions are assigned to committee, debated, amended and voted on just as in a legislature. Those that pass seek the same fate at our Chenango County Pomona Grange meetings held quarterly. The resolutions that pass this process become our policy that is implemented and supported by our Grassroots and Advocacy Programs. Any resolution requiring a larger platform is passed on to the New York State Grange for deliberation at the Annual Session in October.
